Rendezvous II - a super seminar

The fifth annual Rendezvous II Fall Seminar was held October 24-28, 2004, at the Compton Ridge Convention Center in Branson, Mo. Instructors were Ed Zinger, caricatures; Gerald Sears, caricatures; John Engler, relief; Harley and Midge Schmitgen, human relief and animal relief [carved in basswood, Midge's lion busts on the cover of this issue are 13" tall without base, and 2" thick]; David Sabol, Norman Rockwell-style human figure; Ron Reed, human bust; Jim Willis, realistic animal; Betty Legg, woodburning.

The seminar is designed for beginners as well as the more experienced. Classes run Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (with an hour off for lunch). At 6:30 p.m., after-hours carving classes are conducted for those who want to carve ornaments or smaller projects.

The sixth annual Rendezvous II takes place October 23-27, 2005, at the Convention Center. The same instructors will offer the same classes.
