Introduction by Sylvie Comtois
My father, René Comtois, age 73, has retired as graphic designer and art director from the printing industry (lithography) after 42 years. He has been a member of NWCA for the past ten years. In addition
to
his
hobbies
of golfing and seashell collecting, he started a course in general woodcarving in 1993. After a couple of years, his interest turned to chip carving. With his experience as a graphic designer, it is very easy for him to use a ruler and compass and create his own patterns and conceptions.
Rene lives in Laval, Quebec, Canada.
