Dazzling Move for Dayton, Ohio
By Lori Trickler
The 21st Artistry In Wood Show relocation was an incredible success for
the Dayton, Ohio, club. Attendance increased 33% over the previous year
for close to 6,000 people. Everyone marveled his or her way through the
dazzling new location at the Exposition Center at Dayton International
Airport. When the doors opened November 16, the crowds rushed in with a
record number of 1500 tickets sold in the first two hours. Probably the
close proximity to several major interstates and a major advertising
campaign helped to bring many first-time exhibitors and buyers. Everyone
said they loved the organized layout of 301 spaces that included all 30
vendors grouped together in the back and the 183 exhibitors in the
center. This made it easy to shop around and everyone sure seemed to be
making lots of sales. The increase in space, brighter lighting and the
wide, carpeted aisles gave us a very prestigious first-class appearance.
