Portrait painting and clay sculpture kept him occupied until a chance meeting with members of the Silver State Woodcarvers Guild. His carving of a Comanche Indian that graces our cover measures 21 by 25 inches and is carved in basswood.
Leon teaches oil portrait painting at the local community center.
