Known for his exquisite carvings of birds and butterflies, Kenny Vermillion of Terre Haute, Ind., likes to try something different every once in a while. This six-inch tall raccoon in tupelo and acrylics proved to be a winner with judges and visitors at the recent Dayton, Ohio, show.
